FAQ

How does Koydol determine the size of a territory?
Franchisor territory division is county based. In areas where there are no counties designations or in areas with very high-density population, Franchisor may use boroughs or city boundaries to delineate territories. The size of each territory and market size may vary, but Franchisor will provide the same level of support to each Franchisee.
Am I responsible for hiring employees?
Yes. The rate and number of salaried employees an owner will hire is determined mostly by the rate at which you want to scale your business. We will provide guidance on the hiring sequence, job descriptions and recruitment processes.
How many employees will I need?
At the startup phase the recommended staff includes only franchise owner (if experienced in running commercial flooring projects) and warehouse manager.  If a franchise owner does not have commercial flooring background, he/she would need to hire or partner with a senior project manager with commercial flooring experience. Additional staff will be required as business/revenue grows.
What marketing assistance is offered?
While we encourage our franchisees to conduct their own business development, marketing, and sales activities to accelerate revenue growth, we provide the following business development/marketing support:
 · Opening of the local market. We already have done some of the leg work for you. Before your signing on to be a franchise owner – our business development team bid jobs with General Contractors (your major clients) in your area and even may have secured the first contract for you to execute.
 · A microsite/directory within the major site of the franchisor. Our website will have a “find a location” feature to drive organic traffic to the microsite of the local franchisee.
 · Branding guidelines – logo, signage, typography, color scheme, etc.
What training will I be provided?
1. Onboarding training is to be completed at Franchisor’s Headquarters within 30 days after signing Franchise Agreement. Alternatively, onboarding training may be offered and conducted virtually.
2. Pre-job training is to be initiated 16 weeks after signing Franchise Agreement or 1 week after initial letter of intent is received from a customer (whichever occurs first). Franchisee to prepare for the second ‘in-class’ training session provided by Franchisor, which includes: installer and employee interviews, blueprint reading, business analytics, project documentation, cost analysis, reviewing “mock proposal”, etc.
3. Virtual training - initiated 30 days after signing Franchise Agreement.
4. On-Demand/Ongoing training - updated IT vendor webinars with in-depth instruction, installation techniques seminars, vendor on-site and virtual seminars, continued support for internal infrastructure/systems.
5. Training/webinars offered by manufacturers & vendors. They usually provide free of charge training on products and instillations.
Do I need a license or any certifications?
Licensing and certification requirements may vary by state. We advise franchisees to do their own research and obtain all applicable business licenses/certifications.
How much money do I have to have?
Based on estimated Initial investment for each location we recommend having the following financial resources:
 · Possess cash/cash equivalent >= $70,000 - $100,000
 · Have a net worth >= 2 times Minimum Initial investment for the location
 · Possess a minimum credit score of 690 to secure a bond for projects of $500K or less
 · It is recommended, that the franchisee accumulates working capital from generated revenue to accommodate bonding capacity necessary to bid for large jobs.
I would like to invest in this business with a partner. Do the requirements change for a partnership?
The same requirements apply to the consolidated financial resources of the partners.
How much will I personally make?
There are many variables that make it impossible to predict future results with any certainty, including such factors as: sales, location, occupancy and operating costs, the financing terms, your ability to manage and control the business and other factors. For these reasons, we do not provide any projections of sales, costs, or profits for any franchise business, nor can we predict whether or to what extent you may succeed at a particular location
Is financing available?
Koydol does not provide financing but may connect you with lenders who offer competitive and flexible financing options.
